Position: Quality Inspector at Rittal North America LLC
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute comprehensive inspections on both in-process and finished goods to ensure quality standards are met.
- Confirm the accurate completion of all necessary documentation and checklists.
- Conduct initial inspections on new or modified projects to verify adherence to specifications.
- Prevent the distribution of products that do not meet quality criteria until all issues are resolved.
- Ensure product alignment with shipping and packaging regulations.
- Support warehouse personnel with quality-related inquiries and assessments.
- Provide immediate feedback to production staff and management regarding any defects detected.
- Assist in interpreting technical drawings and the proper application of measurement tools.
- Regularly communicate with Quality Engineers about identified concerns and defect types.
- Update the Quality Manager on a daily basis regarding failure metrics.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent movement including standing, walking, bending, twisting, and reaching throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift weights ranging from 25 to 50 pounds to waist level and up to 25 pounds overhead.
- Occasional use of computers and keyboards during work hours.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Competence in reading blueprints and using handheld measuring devices.
- Basic computer literacy, particularly in Excel and Word.
- Previous experience in inspection roles is preferred.
