Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate will be tasked with, but not limited to, the following duties:
- Skilled in utilizing computer software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with Team Center, SharePoint, and/or SAP is advantageous.
- Assess and revise manufacturing documentation and work instructions.
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications.
- Identify necessary tooling and testing apparatus within manufacturing instructions and/or SAP processes for potential transfer.
- Confirm the physical whereabouts of relevant tooling and testing equipment.
- Thoroughly document all pertinent tooling and testing equipment, ensuring clarity with production teams to prevent misuse outside project parameters.
- Maintain comprehensive records of the location and shipping information for all relevant tooling and testing equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams to ascertain the availability of tooling and testing equipment for transfer.
- Coordinate the logistics of moving all relevant tooling and testing equipment to the designated shipping area.
- Develop a project timeline and provide regular updates on project status.
- Effectively communicate with team members across all levels of the organization.
- Seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer who is proactive, motivated, and a collaborative team player capable of innovative problem-solving in a dynamic Aerospace setting.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and aviation specifications.
- Ability to create and comprehend manufacturing work instructions.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Visio, and Outlook is essential.
- Skilled in identifying failure modes and conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Competence in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and feature checking gauges to assess part conformity.
- Understanding of part and assembly Bill of Materials (BOM) structure is necessary.
- Experience in collaborating with both internal and external suppliers and clients.
- Aptitude for recognizing opportunities for tooling and/or fixturing improvements and making design suggestions.
- Experience in conducting time studies of manufacturing and assembly processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) functions such as Process Mapping, Control Plans, PFMEA, MSA, and PFEP is preferred. Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification is a plus.
- Experience in identifying and managing capital projects, including submitting requests and collaborating with purchasing and capitalization teams, is advantageous.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
