Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Outside Sales Representative to manage our South Central Territories, which include Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Role Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Meeting sales revenue targets by acquiring new customer accounts
  • Representing Wausau Tile's diverse product lines, both interior and exterior
  • Building and nurturing relationships with Landscape Architects, Architects, General Contractors, Sub-Contractors, and Installers
  • Developing a robust sales pipeline through various lead generation techniques
  • Understanding buyer value perceptions to effectively showcase Wausau Tile products
  • Engaging with potential customers to interpret technical requirements and explain product options
  • Gathering competitive intelligence to present the best offers
  • Following up on proposals and negotiating terms as necessary
  • Managing order amendments, delivery schedules, and customer support
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns
  • Tracking sales opportunities using Salesforce
  • Maintaining and servicing existing customer accounts
  • Keeping customers informed about new products and services
  • Assisting in payment collection communications as needed

Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Outside Sales
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction materials industry
  • A proven track record of meeting sales objectives
  • Willingness to travel daily within the designated territory, including overnight stays
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Successful candidates will demonstrate proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint

Additionally, a valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for this remote position.
