As a Business Banking Officer II at NBH Bank, you will play a crucial role in fostering and nurturing business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a comprehensive suite of banking services, focusing on loan and deposit products to maximize client engagement and satisfaction. Your primary objective will be to secure 100% of the client's banking needs.
With a strong emphasis on government-backed loans, particularly SBA 7a and 504, you will collaborate closely with the bank's SBA division to manage production, pipeline, and closing processes. Proactively engage with clients, prospects, and referral sources to achieve optimal outcomes.
Relationship Management:
Your success will be measured by your ability to acquire, expand, and retain business banking relationships, with a particular focus on enhancing deposit, treasury, and lending growth.
Active participation in community and business events is essential to promote a positive image of NBH Bank within the local market and to establish valuable referral connections.
Sales and Service Goals:
Achieve specific sales and service objectives both individually and as part of the banking center's overall targets on a quarterly and annual basis.
Work collaboratively with staff to set and implement individual goals aligned with established benchmarks aimed at enhancing the competitive standing of NBH Bank.
Loan Portfolio Management:
As a Business Banking Officer, you will be responsible for critically assessing, analyzing, and structuring business loans. Maintain regular contact with borrowers to monitor loan performance and address any issues that may arise.
Community Engagement:
Enhance the bank's reputation in the community by engaging in local activities, coordinating development initiatives, and presenting a favorable image that leads to new business opportunities.
Market Insight:
Identify emerging market trends that could impact clients' businesses and leverage our solutions to create further partnership opportunities.
Team Development:
Foster a successful sales team by mentoring associates to ensure that clients' comprehensive financial needs are met, ultimately leading to increased market share and profitability.
Client Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with various business partners to facilitate cross-sales while ensuring high service quality to maintain client satisfaction. Build strong rapport with clients and colleagues, treating everyone with respect and consideration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of proven experience in commercial or small business lending.
5+ years of banking experience.
5+ years of successful business-to-business development experience.
In-depth knowledge of SBA products, operating procedures, forms, and eligibility criteria.
Desired Skills:
Preferred candidates will possess:
Master's degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of successful commercial or small business lending experience.
9+ years of banking experience.
Completion of formal credit training or bank training programs.
Strong credit analysis skills with the ability to evaluate financial statements, underwrite loans, and prepare presentations for credit committee approval.
