We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Development and Growth to join our team at SpiderOak. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the US Government space and unmanned systems acquisitions market.
Key Responsibilities- Hunt and identify new business opportunities through capture management, mapping mission needs against SpiderOak's cybersecurity capabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government operators, programmers, and acquisitions teams.
- Lead individual captures from shaping through to proposal and closing, ensuring successful delivery of SpiderOak's solutions.
- Generate sales qualified leads, target accounts, develop a pipeline, and manage deals through the pipeline.
- Create OEM partner agreements with system integrators, solution, and product providers.
- Promote SpiderOak's capabilities at industry events and conferences, and write thought-leadership white papers to establish the company as a thought leader in the space industry.
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
- BS degree required to complete this role successfully.
- Ability to maintain a security clearance (TS/SCI).
- At least three years of a demonstrated track record of developing solutions and closing on opportunities in the US Government.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact at all levels of the government and the commercial sector.
- Expert-level understanding of the space industry and government acquisition process.
- Ability to work within a team to articulate customer needs when required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel is required.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time, as necessary.
