Role Overview

The Food and Beverage Floor Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our service areas. This position is responsible for ensuring exceptional hospitality, food quality, and guest satisfaction, while also managing financial transactions and maintaining a clean, inviting atmosphere for both guests and staff. Key responsibilities include interviewing, training, scheduling, ordering supplies, and conducting performance evaluations. Reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager, this role requires a comprehensive understanding of front-of-house operations and the ability to work various shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure positive guest experiences across all areas of the property, addressing any guest concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members regarding daily specials, promotions, and company policies.
  • Evaluate operations regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
  • Manage financial goals and responsibilities accurately.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge of operational practices.
  • Ensure all equipment and work areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Document performance-related feedback for team members prior to discussions.
  • Mentor team members and support their professional growth.
  • Complete additional tasks within the restaurant operations as required.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high standards for health, safety, and cleanliness that exceed industry regulations.
  • Comply with all local and state laws regarding responsible alcohol service.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a full-service restaurant is preferred.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in attendance.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality and restaurant operations.
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of compliance requirements in the restaurant industry.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage short-term projects independently.
  • Ability to inspire teamwork to meet food and service standards.
  • Proficient in all POS functions and back-office administration.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to respond constructively to feedback from guests and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
