Job Summary

The Concessions Supervisor is a key member of the Oak View Group team, responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations at various concessions stands, bars, and portable food and beverage locations within the arena. This role requires a high level of operational expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors, including verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers, and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
  • Provide high-level oversight and operational expertise to ensure the smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of events.
  • Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices.
  • Assist with Premium Services operations and event needs, as directed.
  • Ensure a safe and respectful work environment, addressing any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Supervise the service of beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, and verify minimum age requirements for purchase.
  • Assist with recording guest orders and relaying them to the kitchen via the point-of-sale system.
  • Compute the cost of meals and present guests with checks, accepting payments and providing change as necessary.
  • Recommend dishes and identify ingredients or explain menu preparation methods.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Meet company standards for excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled.
  • Recognize guests who are visibly intoxicated and take action to cut off alcohol service.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures, practicing excellent human resources skills regarding employee relations, corrective action, coaching, and counseling.
  • Assist the management team with projects, including training, inventory, and special events.
Qualifications
  • At least 1-2 years' experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others and communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess a valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit, if required by state or federal regulations.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly, as well as calculate basic math functions related to POS cash/credit transactions and product inventory.
