Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to the Owner and is responsible for supervising and training various kitchen staff, including Kitchen Supervisors, Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, Dishwashers, and Food Runners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the Owner to establish and achieve financial targets, food quality benchmarks, and cleanliness standards.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive work environment that promotes job satisfaction and team cohesion.
  • Food Safety & Sanitation: Uphold rigorous standards in food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization.
  • Quality Control: Ensure food freshness and proper temperature management, while training staff on portioning and presentation.
  • Staff Management: Schedule and manage kitchen labor effectively, ensuring the team is well-prepared for each shift.
  • Communication: Provide clear expectations and feedback to the team, facilitating open dialogue regarding menu changes and operational issues.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of kitchen leadership experience.
  • Strong communication and delegation skills.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment maintenance.
  • The ability to work 45 to 55 hours per week with a positive attitude.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
