Role Overview

As a key member of our production team, the Packaging Technician plays a crucial role in executing daily packaging operations. This position involves operating various packaging machinery, including carton erectors, depalletizers, and case sealers, while also performing manual tasks essential to the packaging process. Maintaining a clean and safe workspace is vital to ensure the highest quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily packaging tasks on bottling and canning lines in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Operate packaging machinery, including box shop equipment and palletizers.
  • Perform manual packaging tasks as required, such as hand packing and stacking.
  • Assist with various tasks as directed by the Packaging Supervisor, including cleaning, inventory management, and light maintenance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of safety practices in a brewery environment.
  • Understanding of sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with packaging equipment operations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Demonstrated work ethic and professionalism.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs and move kegs weighing up to 165 lbs. The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as kneeling and bending.

Work Environment
Employees may be exposed to cool temperatures, airborne particles, and machinery noise.
