Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the execution of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and budgetary constraints. This role is critical in managing resources, timelines, and client relationships to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the contractual obligations of assigned projects, ensuring that all field and support staff are adequately positioned and performing their duties as required.
  • Control the financial aspects of project contracts, including procurement of materials, initiating and implementing Change Orders, and conducting cost analysis to maintain budget compliance.
  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of project materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other departments to facilitate project timelines and completion.
  • Prepare detailed project estimate packages for small to medium-sized jobs under the guidance of senior project managers.
  • Develop, monitor, and enforce project objectives, procedures, and performance standards in line with company policies.
  • Prepare and present monthly progress reports to senior management or as required.
  • Represent the company in project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations as dictated by company policy and contractual agreements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience in the field.
  • Proficient understanding of construction contract language.
  • Knowledge of electrical design and estimation processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Strong grasp of industry practices, standards, and their implications on project activities.
  • Ability to apply company policies, procedures, and ethical standards effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with CONEST estimating software or a willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Accountability

  • Work closely with field Superintendents to ensure personnel meet performance expectations.
