ABOUT YOU:

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is actively looking for a Mechanical Engineer to enhance our internal design team. This position will play a crucial role in overseeing the comprehensive mechanical scope and spearheading the development of mechanical and plumbing systems for a variety of design/build projects, including those in the Entertainment, Agricultural, Industrial, Commercial, and Manufacturing sectors.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Utilize knowledge of building codes, standards, and project specifications in the design of mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Employ ASHRAE-approved calculation methods to conduct load calculations for various project types.
  • Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure final deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Create permit and construction documents using advanced 3D modeling software such as Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • Engage in project pursuits and conceptual design to illustrate the value of the design/build methodology.
  • Support the project team during construction by reviewing RFIs, submittals, and addressing field challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of standards, procedures, and training programs for the engineering group.

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical and/or plumbing design.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design principles for mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
