Retail Operations Manager

At Cloud9 Cannabis, we are seeking a Dispensary Operations Director who will be responsible for the comprehensive management of our retail dispensary. This position involves overseeing all aspects of operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer engagement, while also ensuring financial objectives are met.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong leadership skills, providing guidance and constructive feedback to the retail team. A positive attitude and a proactive approach to managing business operations are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Recruit, supervise, and cross-train team members across various operational areas.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for team members.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador, setting a positive example for the team.
  • Safeguard store assets and ensure compliance with operational standards and safety protocols.

2. Financial Management

  • Achieve revenue targets through effective management practices and customer relations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Retail to develop promotions, pricing strategies, and in-house brand sales.

3. Inventory and Logistics Oversight

  • Manage inventory processes, including intake and compliance.
  • Foster a culture of compliance through training and collaboration with regulatory authorities.
  • Oversee cash management, including till operations and deposits.
  • Coordinate supply orders for dispensary needs.
  • Act as the primary contact for facility maintenance issues.

4. Customer Experience Enhancement

  • Develop a customer service culture that fosters loyalty and retention.
  • Train staff on company processes and product knowledge to enhance customer interactions.
  • Engage with customers on the sales floor to promote deals and improve service.
  • Address customer feedback and concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Understanding of the cannabis industry, including cash handling and compliance.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within a retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and relevant inventory management software.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass background checks as required by cannabis regulations.
