Position Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor at MFA Oil will oversee store functions and ensure exceptional customer service is delivered promptly and accurately, adhering to all organizational standards, policies, and procedures. This role is crucial in facilitating customer education and ensuring follow-through on maintenance and repair services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Warmly greet and thank every customer, providing swift and friendly service.
  • Drive sales by articulating the advantages of services and products to customers.
  • Conduct vehicle assessments and communicate maintenance requirements to customers, prioritizing necessary services.
  • Execute sales duties in line with company protocols, including pricing, promotions, and inventory management.
  • Implement all organizational policies and procedures effectively.
  • Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the store manager.
  • Oversee daily operations encompassing sales, administrative tasks, and shop management.
  • Assist in training staff and ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Guide team members in resolving complex customer inquiries or issues.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss safety, policies, and product updates.
  • Set and strategize goals to achieve sales targets, profit margins, and expense management alongside the store manager.
  • Support the Store Manager in analyzing financial statements and payroll forecasts.
  • Monitor employee performance in accordance with established policies.
  • Assist in managing accounts receivable and collecting overdue accounts as necessary.
  • Ensure timely opening and closing of the store in line with operational hours.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures to ensure accurate financial transactions.
  • Coordinate daily bank deposits as required.
  • Review work orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support inventory management processes, including bi-weekly replenishment and monthly stock counts.
  • Assist in generating reports and providing information to company personnel as needed.
  • Organize and document all adjustments effectively.
  • Conduct sales transactions with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Report any discrepancies in sales, cash handling, or operations to the supervisor.
  • Manage ticket averages and profitability, aiding the store manager in meeting corporate expectations.
  • Maintain facility standards and safeguard company assets.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and motivate staff to enhance customer experiences.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules for equipment are adhered to.
  • Address customer complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Uphold cleanliness in the workplace following company guidelines.
  • Maintain the store's internal and external appearance to meet company standards.
  • Utilize company checklists to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations in all job functions.
  • Follow the established work schedule and accurately record hours worked.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with management, employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Notify supervisors of any maintenance issues or concerns requiring attention.
  • Assist in training new employees as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of facilities, tools, and equipment; restock shelves as necessary.
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Availability to work during holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed.
  • Ability to learn new concepts and utilize technical materials.
  • Proficient in operating computers and office machinery.
  • Strong communication skills for accurate information exchange with customers.
  • Willingness to work with hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Capability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles safely.
  • Compliance with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) regulations is necessary.
  • Essential sensory abilities including vision, hearing, and the ability to detect odors.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods (up to nine hours).
  • Physical capability to lift and move products weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Must meet company requirements, including successful completion of drug screening and background checks.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two or more years of experience in retail or sales.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
