Position Overview

This part-time, on-site position as a Logistics and Fulfillment Specialist at KYNAH involves managing the essential functions of shipping, inventory oversight, and operational processes. Your keen attention to detail and decisive judgment will play a vital role in optimizing the company's efficiency. You will act as the main point of contact for retail inventory issues, ensuring prompt resolutions. Your efforts will set the standard for operational excellence, as you strategically arrange our back-of-house operations to enhance profitability and uphold inventory precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping & Packaging:

  • Guarantee the precise and timely dispatch of all orders for KYNAH and Kiska brands on a daily basis.
  • Prepare, package, and ship products in accordance with the established packaging protocols.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and drop-offs as necessary.

Receiving Transfers:

  • Receive and systematically organize inventory shipments from the international office into the storage facility.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate promptly regarding any transfer-related concerns.

Order Management:

  • Schedule and oversee order pickups on designated days.
  • Ensure timely fulfillment or communicate with the online team upon completion of pickups.

Maintenance Coordination:

  • Deliver items to dry cleaners and tailors as needed, ensuring timely and accurate returns.
  • Document all items appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the store team as required.

Inventory Oversight:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory counts for both brands.
  • Conduct monthly inventory checks to ensure precise listings.
  • Report oversell issues to relevant parties.
  • Regularly log inventory and provide reports as needed.

Returns Management:

  • Inspect and process returns for KYNAH and Kiska products daily, ensuring customer refunds are handled appropriately.
  • Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve any return-related issues.

Supplies Management:

  • Monitor and restock packaging materials and supplies necessary for store operations.
  • Coordinate with the international office for replenishment of packaging supplies.
  • Ensure the organization of back-of-house areas and display inventory.
  • Maintain accountability and organization of all items in the storage area.

Store Support:

  • Assist the store team with inventory-related needs as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support inventory coordination for photoshoots and special events.
  • Participate in events and assist the styling team as necessary.
  • Handle ad hoc orders and communicate with the team accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in logistics, shipping, or inventory management is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 25-30 lbs.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in communication tools such as Slack and WhatsApp.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour.

This role requires a commitment to being present at the Santa Monica location three times a week.
