Supply Chain Logistics Specialist

Since the inception of our logistics services in 2012, we have expanded our operations and established ourselves as a leading third-party logistics provider.
We are currently in search of a meticulous and organized Logistics Transportation Specialist to become a vital part of our team. The successful candidate will oversee various logistics functions, including shipment quoting, booking, customs procedures, and effective coordination with both internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Quoting and Booking:
- Manage the quoting and booking processes for shipments.
- Ensure all necessary documentation for import customs clearance is secured.
Communication and Updates:
- Provide internal stakeholders with timely updates regarding shipment statuses.
- Facilitate clear and accurate communication with all relevant parties.
- Engage in daily interactions with customers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate inventory, bookings, pickups, tracking, and proof of delivery.
Operational Support:
- Oversee the booking, tracking, and tracing of cargo from suppliers to final destinations (FTL/LTL/AIR/PARCEL).
- Deliver exceptional customer service and promptly address any issues from booking to delivery.
- Maintain regular contact with stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and share pertinent business information.
- Monitor account-related issues and collaborate with management to implement effective solutions.
- Track trends and report significant changes to management for necessary actions.
Strategic Planning:
- Formulate plans that align organizational goals with achievable targets.
- Work towards fulfilling leadership expectations regarding logistics efficiency.
- Propose recommendations for process improvements as needed.
- Analyze service and cost data to suggest actions for enhancing business performance and customer satisfaction.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Generate comprehensive reports on shipment statuses on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Analyze data to provide insights aimed at refining logistics processes.
- Maintain up-to-date account documentation for easy access.
- Prepare reports as required, including service failure and claim reports.
- Ensure accurate data entry into relevant systems.
Coordination with Service Providers:
- Collaborate with logistics service providers regarding vessel schedules.
- Manage documentation and ensure timely payments with the finance department.
- Adhere to and update standard operating procedures to maintain operational best practices.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in FTL/LTL Dispatching, Operations, or Freight Forwarding.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Ability to analyze service and cost data for actionable recommendations.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects while paying attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage directly with customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn about other transportation modes as necessary.
- Experience with cross-border transportation preferred.
