Job Overview

First Help Financial is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Collections Associate to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our Collections Department, you will play a crucial role in communicating with borrowers, resolving collection issues, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service and resolve collection issues in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Open and manage client complaints, escalating issues to supervisors as needed
  • Deescalate customer disputes and reconcile discrepancies in outstanding due balances
  • Meet departmental goals and activity metrics, with a focus on customer satisfaction and resolution
  • Prepare and provide written account information to customers upon request
  • Answer inbound phone calls and handle transfer of ownership as necessary
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 6 months of Collections experience or 1 year of related customer service experience preferred
  • Fluent in Spanish; ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Detail-oriented and task-focused, with a commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to travel domestically for up to one week at a time for company-sponsored training and team-building initiatives
