Job Title: Speech-Language PathologistJob Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. The SLP will work with students in a school setting, providing speech, language, and munication support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students achieve their full potential and be skilled in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and munication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual or group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to goal-setting for students.
- Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students munication needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
- Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid Indiana state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical petence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Indiana Department of Education certification to work in schools (Indiana Professional Educators License in munication Disorders).
- pletion of required Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for maintaining licensure and certification.
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- mitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
- Experience with a variety of munication disorders, including speech sound disorders, language delays, fluency, and social munication.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative munication (AAC) devices and strategies.
- Ability to use data to drive decision-making and therapy adjustments.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Ability to sit, stand, and move throughout the school environment.
- Capable of lifting and carrying light equipment or materials as needed.
