Position Overview: Gulf Publishing Company, Inc. is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Staff Associate for Board Operations. This position will act as the primary support to the Clerk of the Board of Trustees, ensuring efficient administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Clerk with various administrative tasks including scheduling and managing communications.
  • Coordinate logistics for Board meetings, committee gatherings, and special events.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Board activities.

Work Environment: This role is primarily based in a collaborative office setting, with the possibility of remote work for the right candidate.

Compensation and Benefits: The hiring salary range for this position is competitive, with additional benefits including a retirement plan contribution, medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as tuition waiver programs for employees and their dependents.

Qualifications:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent experience, along with five to seven years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with a high level of proficiency in computer applications.
  • Experience in project management, database management, and event coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting a board or similar governing body.
  • Background in higher education settings.
  • Familiarity with cataloging historical data and information.
