Key Responsibilities of the Housekeeping Associate
The Housekeeping Associate is tasked with ensuring cleanliness in all shared areas and resident accommodations. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to adhere to established cleaning protocols and exhibit a genuine concern for the well-being of seniors. Additionally, the Housekeeping Associate should be observant of any changes in residents and effectively communicate these observations to management.

Core Duties Include:
  • Adhere to established performance standards and execute responsibilities in line with company policies.
  • Dust and clean various surfaces including vents, handrails, ceiling fans, and furniture.
  • Vacuum carpets and perform spot cleaning as needed.
  • Sanitize bathrooms and replenish necessary supplies.
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of cleaning chemicals; maintain safety by securing access to these materials.
  • Collect and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Utilize proper cleaning techniques to prevent infection.
  • Report any maintenance needs or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings as required.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in all interactions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • A genuine caring attitude towards seniors and the ability to interact courteously with residents and staff.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospitality or senior living setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
