BlueWater Emergency Partners is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Leader to act as a Regional Medical Director and clinical smokejumper. This is a full-time position that combines administrative leadership and clinical work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Leadership Support: Provide guidance and support to direct reports, including clinical leaders assigned to Emergency Departments within the region and smokejumper physicians.
  • Department Meeting Prep and Attendance: Prepare for and attend department meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Hospital Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital Chief Nursing Officers (CNOs) and Chief Medical Officers (CMOs).
  • Local Medical Society Involvement: Participate in local American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and state medical society work to stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  • Quality Bundle Compliance: Ensure compliance with quality bundles and standards to maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Staffing Management: Oversee staffing management at a high level, ensuring adequate coverage and resource allocation.
  • HR Management: Provide high-level HR support, including recruitment, talent development, and employee relations.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with sales teams to support efforts at potential new sites and implement new sites.
  • Interim Site-Based Medical Director Leadership: Provide interim leadership support to site-based Medical Directors as needed.
  • Clinical Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with BlueWater Hospitalist Medicine clinical leadership within the region to ensure seamless collaboration and communication.
