Position Overview

Salary: Dependent on Experience

KSI is currently in search of a dedicated Commercial Lines Account Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our clients, regardless of their size, receive exceptional support for their insurance requirements. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing an established portfolio within a small agency environment.

This position offers the flexibility of remote work for candidates located in the Cedar Rapids area, provided they meet the necessary qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, the Commercial Lines Account Manager will significantly contribute to our sales and service objectives through the following:

  • Delivering expert technical assistance to the agency, focusing on assessing client requirements, coverage options, and pricing.
  • Coordinating with the Insurance Producer to complete applications; submitting them to suitable carriers and ensuring prompt receipt of quotes and policies.
  • Managing the issuance of binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related documents; confirming their accuracy and dispatching them to clients with the appropriate communication.
  • Determining the suitability of direct or agency billing and processing invoices accordingly.
  • Preparing insurance summaries, schedules, and proposals as needed for documentation.
  • Facilitating the renewal process in collaboration with the Insurance Producer, adhering to agency protocols.
  • Reviewing policy audits for accuracy and coordinating necessary corrections between clients and carriers.
  • Verifying policy and policy change details, making corrections as required.
  • Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma; some college education is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in customer service.
  • Proficiency in Excel for data entry and basic formula usage.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and Outlook, along with professional phone communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities, essential for managing multiple client needs in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Possession of a State of Iowa Property & Casualty License is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Personal Lines will be considered an advantage.
