Corporate Vice President - Change and Organization Development Partner

This role presents a remarkable opportunity to become a key player in New York Life's Change and Organization Development Center of Excellence. This newly established team is essential in guiding the organization through its transformation, assisting leaders, managers, and employees in adapting to change while cultivating the necessary skills and behaviors for sustainable success.

Role Overview

As a Change Management and Organization Development Partner, you will spearhead both Change and Organizational Development initiatives. Your responsibilities will include performing assessments, crafting, and executing change management and organizational development strategies, as well as offering consultation and coaching to project teams. You will work closely with senior leadership and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to identify, evaluate change impacts or performance deficiencies, and propose targeted interventions.

This position is part of the HR and Talent Management team, where you will oversee the strategy and execution of multiple projects concurrently, focusing on technology, culture, and business transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize change management and organizational development methodologies, processes, and tools to facilitate the adoption of business and technology transformations.
  • Collaborate with Business Leaders and HRBPs to identify performance deficiencies and enhance team effectiveness.
  • Recognize and address resistance to change, partnering with stakeholders to mitigate risks and ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop presentations, tools, and other materials for client engagement.
  • Provide expert consultation and coaching to project teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and enterprise-wide strategies.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and interventions.
  • Formulate strategic recommendations and collaborate with Change and OD specialists across the organization, as well as Continuous Improvement teams and consulting firms.

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of change management and organizational development principles, methodologies, tools, and their practical applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven history of measuring and assessing the success of initiatives.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.
  • Experience in a corporate setting with an emphasis on large-scale technology-driven change initiatives.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 5-8 years of experience in Change Management, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related discipline.

Certification in change management and organizational development (e.g., Prosci, SHRM) or other relevant certifications is preferred.

Compensation Transparency

Salary Range: $117,500-$200,000

Discretionary bonus eligibility: Yes

The actual base salary will be determined based on various factors, including individual experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees may qualify for an annual discretionary bonus. Beyond base salary, employees may also be eligible for participation in an incentive program.
