The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Social Impact division at Finn Partners collaborates with a diverse array of corporations, non-profits, associations, and governmental entities to enhance awareness for significant social issues and causes. This Vice President role is a full-time position dedicated to overseeing the CSR team's environmental and sustainability initiatives. While the practice is primarily based in New York, there is flexibility for the Vice President to operate from different locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in impactful social responsibility and sustainability initiatives for leading corporations, non-profits, and global foundations, promoting social good through comprehensive communications and marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the implementation of successful CSR and social impact public relations campaigns that surpass client expectations.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication; provide strategic direction and advice; and deliver effective problem-solving solutions to clients.
  • Foster and expand senior client relationships.
  • Create thought leadership opportunities for C-Suite executives, including developing narratives, securing speaking engagements, and generating high-quality media coverage.
  • Review and produce press materials, such as press releases, media advisories, key messages, Q&As, and executive remarks.
  • Formulate comprehensive media strategies for clients; manage the financial aspects and profitability of accounts.
  • Utilize established media contacts to ensure consistent coverage across various publications, including sustainability, health & wellness, business, technology, consumer, lifestyle, and news outlets.
  • Develop new media relationships to broaden outreach across print, online, television, social media, radio, and podcasts.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the CSR and sustainability landscape; provide strategic recommendations for client narratives and communication plans.
  • Identify new business opportunities and secure additional CSR clients; lead the creation of new business proposals and participate in presentations; develop RFPs that highlight our unique capabilities and proven successes.
  • Guide the internal CSR team, fostering their development; provide constructive feedback and motivation to achieve outstanding results.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in CSR public relations, ideally with a focus on corporate communications or sustainability.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and achieving results.
  • Strong media relations skills with established connections to top-tier national and trade outlets; a proven track record of media placements.
  • Ability to create and implement effective media relations strategies.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, familiar with AP style.
  • Strong communication skills, project management abilities, and a proven capacity for problem-solving.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player who shares information openly and supports the collective goals of the group.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, diligent, adaptable, and thorough.

Compensation:

Anticipated salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
