**Job Summary**

Our Kitchen Managers play a vital role in overseeing all kitchen operations in our cafés, contributing to the success and growth of the kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will assist in managing shifts in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring seamless execution of our menu offerings.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Adhere to recipe, portioning, and presentation standards to maintain exceptional quality and consistency.
  • Establish a strong understanding of our menu through daily tasting and menu development.
  • Coach kitchen team members in food preparation, safe handling, operation of equipment, food safety, and sanitation based on company and regulatory standards.
  • Run shifts according to established production and service guidelines, ensuring efficient execution and high-quality products.
  • Maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas, promoting a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with food cost management to stay within established guidelines, ensuring that products are portioned and fresh in the café.
  • Assist with implementation of seasonal menu changes, staying up-to-date with culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner, including reporting and record-keeping.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

**Working Conditions / Essential Functions**

  • Ability and desire to work a flexible schedule based on sales trends and business needs, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work 8-10 hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, squat, or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum 6 months of line cook experience in a high-volume foodservice operation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and proven passion for culinary excellence.
  • Understanding of the importance of quality product, visual presentation, efficient production, safety and sanitation, and food cost controls.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • High School education or equivalent.

**Preferred Skills**

  • 6 months of supervisor experience.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Previous experience working with UltiPro Onboarding & Recruiting, Toast - POS System, CrunchTime, and Teamworks (highly preferred).
  • ServSafe, Allergen, and Chokesaver certifications.
