Role Summary:

As an Inbound Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for handling phone inquiries and performing various customer service functions with professionalism and courtesy, adhering to compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Assess caller needs and determine appropriate actions, including clarifying billing inquiries, collecting and updating insurance information, resolving issues, and escalating when necessary.
  • Utilize provided resources such as job aids and standard operating procedures effectively.
  • Document each interaction clearly and accurately in the billing system to ensure continuity of service.
  • Recognize patterns in caller inquiries and provide feedback to management to improve service delivery.
  • Maintain professionalism and respect in all communications, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support new team members through mentoring and training.
  • Participate in special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management.
  • Achieve and maintain high standards for call audits and compliance metrics.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial billing processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in medical billing or accounts receivable.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
