Role Summary:
As an Inbound Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for handling phone inquiries and performing various customer service functions with professionalism and courtesy, adhering to compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assess caller needs and determine appropriate actions, including clarifying billing inquiries, collecting and updating insurance information, resolving issues, and escalating when necessary.
- Utilize provided resources such as job aids and standard operating procedures effectively.
- Document each interaction clearly and accurately in the billing system to ensure continuity of service.
- Recognize patterns in caller inquiries and provide feedback to management to improve service delivery.
- Maintain professionalism and respect in all communications, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Support new team members through mentoring and training.
- Participate in special projects and additional tasks as assigned by management.
- Achieve and maintain high standards for call audits and compliance metrics.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial billing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in medical billing or accounts receivable.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
