Job Summary

Morgan Lewis, a leading global law firm, is seeking an experienced Application Systems Engineer to support the integration, deployment, and maintenance of commercial off-the-shelf software suites and supporting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • End User Support: Provide timely and effective support to end-users, troubleshooting complex issues related to hardware and software, including integrations with Active Directory, ADFS, SQL Server, and Firm Datawarehouse.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Contribute to project planning and scheduling, ensuring seamless execution of software development and deployment projects.
  • Application Scope and Objectives: Formulate and define application scope and objectives through research and fact-finding, developing and modifying document management systems.
  • Software Engineering and Analysis: Utilize software engineering and analytical skills to assist in the design, development, and execution of specifications, ensuring high-quality software solutions.
  • Configuration and Installation: Identify and resolve configuration, installation, and application compatibility issues, ensuring smooth software deployment.
  • Security and Compliance: Possess a deep understanding of security controls, including multi-factor authentication, anti-virus scanning, threat analysis, and information protection.
  • L3 Support: Respond quickly and accurately to Level 3 support requests, including archiving, deleting, bugs, and enhancements.
  • Patching and Maintenance: Validate and conduct routine patching cycles, ensuring software systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research, learn, and propose new technology solutions related to firm and business needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Engage with partners and internal clients to solve, deliver, or address business needs, effectively communicating and setting expectations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Technical Skills: 3-5 years of SQL experience, 3-5 years of experience supporting web-based applications, and knowledge of application lifecycle management.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, customer service skills, project management skills, and ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.
  • Software Experience: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Internet Information Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Intapp Time, Elite 3E, CPI Patent Docketing and Trademark, and Foundation.
