The selected candidate will conduct evaluations on application performance and functionality, addressing troubleshooting needs and implementing enhancements for existing systems. Additionally, this position will involve the development of new software solutions tailored to meet operational requirements.
Work Environment:
This role requires full-time onsite engagement.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing applications to ensure adherence to best practices, including functionality and integration.
- Creating software solutions that align with business and operational objectives.
- Gathering requirements for application design and reporting.
- Troubleshooting performance issues and resolving server-related application challenges.
- Documenting solutions using established application development methodologies and models.
- Conducting code reviews to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Evaluating security measures within applications and their infrastructure to ensure compliance.
- Designing and managing both front-end and back-end components, including user interfaces and database connections.
- Analyzing datasets to generate insightful reports and templates.
- Providing technical expertise on application projects, collaborating with stakeholders.
- Maintaining server components within application stacks.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in programming languages such as .Net, C++, Python, Java, XML, JSON, and GO.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies including PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and GO.
- Strong web development experience with platforms like Microsoft IIS, Visual Studio, Apache, NGINX, Node.js, and Django.
- Solid understanding of SQL databases including MS SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience in designing and supporting reports using SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Knowledge of ETL and ELT processes using SQL Server Integration Services.
Operating Systems Management:
- Experience with Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server 2016 and above, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Ability to administer system modifications and implement security measures across various levels.
- Strong scripting skills for process automation using technologies such as VB Script, Powershell, BASH, or Python.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with server infrastructure virtualization and cloud environments like AWS or Azure is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced development skills in .Net, C++, Python, Java, XML, JSON, and GO.
- Expertise in web development platforms such as Microsoft IIS, Visual Studio, Apache, NGINX, Node.js, and Django.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SQL platforms including MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with mainframe systems and languages such as COBOL, CICS, JCL, and VSAM is a plus.
