About the Role:

Solenis LLC US is seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead our North America operations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of our plant network, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and driving continuous improvement in operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of Plant operations of a network of plants supporting Institutional and Food and Beverage businesses.
  • Ensuring the facilities are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Solenis policies and procedures.
  • Setting strategies for the North America region for the plant sites so that they fulfill the needs to supply products to the Institutional and Food and Beverage businesses.
  • Driving continuous improvement in operations including process optimization, EH&S performance, cost reduction, people development, budgeting and capital programs.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring sites are driving to a commitment of zero in all EH&S KPIs, inclusive of zero injuries and improvement in TRIR year over year.
  • Ensuring facilities are resourced to reach an OTIF target of 95% or better.
  • Ensure facilities comply with all federal, provincial and local regulations and Solenis policies and procedures consistent with all PSM requirements.
  • Ensuring maintenance and reliability of all sites with strategies to meet future capacity needs.
  • Ensuring manufacturing processes, packaging, raw material and finished product inventory within set guidelines while maintaining required customer service levels.
  • Oversight of plant manufacturing expense and capital budgets to meet targets.
  • Resource new process technology at the site to aid in business growth.
  • Ensuring sites have quality programs including ISO registration, maintenance, and improvement plans, standardized best practice in quality control, etc.
  • Manage implementation of annual unbiased setting and performance appraisal process, people development and training.
  • Oversee labor relations in union environments.
  • Support the NA Supply Chain leader in developing the manufacturing strategic plan to support commercial growth plans.
  • Maintain site assets and optimize equipment life cycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement and standardization at the site in the areas of safety, productivity, cost reduction, employee satisfaction, quality, etc.

Requirements:

  • BS Technical Degree (Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience in a chemical operation.
  • Plant Management Experience, preferably more than 5 years.
  • Strong communication, leadership, people development, and decision-making skills.
