Job Title:

Banquet Chef

Job Overview:

The Banquet Chef is a key member of the management team responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Culinary Department to ensure exceptional and efficient culinary offerings at St. Clair Country Club.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in supervising kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of culinary operations.
  • Execute directives from the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to maintain high standards of quality and service.
  • Plan and organize workload and staff assignments to efficiently service projected guest counts or special events.
  • Mentor junior staff and identify opportunities for promotion and/or cross-training.
  • Establish and maintain checklists to ensure adherence to kitchen standards.
  • Provide open communication with front-of-house personnel and promote a positive working relationship with staff.
  • Lead by example to promote a professional workplace culture.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of culinary experience in a professional culinary operation.
  • Sanitation Standards Certification or the ability to obtain it within 2 weeks of commencing the position.
