Employee Benefits Account Manager

The Employee Benefits Account Executive will be responsible for managing critical relationships within our Major Accounts Division. This role involves daily interactions with both existing and prospective clients, as well as the development and execution of comprehensive employee benefits strategies tailored to our most intricate client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic guidance to complex clients, focusing on areas such as contribution strategies, employee engagement initiatives, benefits education, underwriting processes, employee retention tactics, pharmacy benefit management, and plan design.
- Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries, issue resolution, vendor management, and scheduling meetings. Collaborate closely with the VP of Major Accounts to address elevated client needs and negotiations.
- Work within a dedicated team to fulfill client requirements, bringing confidence and expertise to enhance service delivery for both existing and emerging client needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service across all communication channels, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Evaluate client requirements and recommend suitable coverage options and products.
- Assist clients with necessary documentation, including collaboration with their staff and legal advisors when needed.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from current or potential clients.
- Identify additional product offerings for existing clients to enhance sales opportunities and meet their evolving needs.
- Address client complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain ongoing customer service and regular contact with clients, reviewing their needs and updating records as necessary.
- Stay informed about all products and services provided by the agency.
- Participate in industry training programs as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a client-facing leadership capacity.
- Proven expertise in managing large, complex strategic accounts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
- Experience in cultivating and advancing relationships with key client contacts.
- Willingness to attend client meetings in person as needed.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Creativity and efficiency in preparing client presentation materials.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex employee benefits accounts.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Life & Health Producer license; consulting license preferred.
