Employee Benefits Account Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Account Service Representative to join our team at Cross Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients and their employees, while also fostering long-term relationships with our insurance carriers and producers.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide day-to-day customer service to clients and their employees, responding to billing, eligibility, and claims questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive relationships with insurance carriers, producers, and account managers to ensure seamless processing of business and meet client needs.
- Account Management: Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our Brokerage Builder / Agency Management System, including customer service, new group, and pre-renewal activities.
- Renewal and New Business: Assist with renewal submissions, including obtaining and sending renewal notices, requesting current census, and reviewing quotes for accuracy. Also, market and quote benefit products to prospective clients.
- Training and Development: Attend and complete any required training sessions or assignments to stay up-to-date on new developments and changes in the industry.
- Education: College degree preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent degree and at least one year of experience in employee benefit account management is required.
- Licenses and Certifications: Maine agent's license in Health and Life or the ability to obtain within 60 days.
- Skills and Abilities: Possess excellent communication skills, high level of patience and empathy, and strong organizational skills. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred, but basic working knowledge is required.
