This role merges inspirational leadership with advanced management skills to enhance the Agency's culture, capabilities, processes, and overall impact.

Key Responsibilities:

Executive Leadership & Organizational Management:

  • Provide visionary executive leadership that is inclusive and empowering, aligned with the organization's mission as defined by the Board of Directors.
  • Present strategic options and plans for organizational impact, securing Board approval as necessary.
  • Motivate and mentor internal leaders to strategically expand the Agency's impact and effectively fulfill its mission.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that recognizes positive contributions across departments.
  • Manage staff processes including hiring, development, performance management, and compensation.

Board Governance:

  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Board to build strong relationships and provide necessary leadership support.
  • Attend Board meetings, offering updates on staff and organizational progress.
  • Implement Board policies and procedures, ensuring staff support for Board decisions.

Development & Fundraising:

  • Drive development and fundraising efforts in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Build and nurture relationships with the Agency's supporters to ensure financial stability.

Financial Management & Administration:

  • Lead all administrative and operational functions in accordance with the Agency's mission and policies.
  • Monitor the budget and manage daily financial operations to optimize resource utilization.

External Relations & Communications:

  • Serve as the chief spokesperson for the Agency at public events and meetings.
  • Promote the Agency's mission and programs positively to enhance visibility and engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a CEO or Executive Director role within a nonprofit organization.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of visionary leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
