Position Overview:
Coastal Health & Wellness is in search of a Chief Executive Officer of Operations. This role is pivotal in overseeing business growth, strategic direction, regulatory adherence, and the efficient functioning of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Directly manage organizational development to ensure effective service delivery to target demographics and the local community.
- Foster and maintain professional relationships with community stakeholders to enhance the quality of healthcare services.
- In the absence of the Chief Executive Officer, assume all fiduciary leadership responsibilities typically held by the CEO.

Compensation:
- Salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership position within the healthcare sector.
- At least five (5) years of a balanced mix of clinical and business experience.
- Preferred experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or primary care management.
- Familiarity with federal grant reporting and compliance.
- Strong clinical and business insight with the capability to analyze data for informed decision-making.
- Solid understanding of medical billing processes and regulations related to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
- Proficient delegation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Customer service-focused mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced with accounting and electronic health record software (NextGen).
- Ability to provide transportation without relying on organizational vehicles.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
- Compliance with immunization policies and training requirements.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening.

Traditional Duties:
- Lead and engage in strategic planning for both short-term and long-term objectives, as well as practice development.
- Supervise all practice locations directly.
- Organize, direct, and oversee all operational and clinical functions.
- Collaborate with dental, medical, and counseling professionals to ensure effective operations.
- Support patient safety initiatives within clinical settings and participate in leadership safety rounds.
- Provide regular verbal and written updates to the Executive Director regarding overall performance and objectives.
- Optimize resource utilization to maximize service delivery within available resources.

Quality Assurance:
- Ensure adequate staffing of practitioners and support staff to meet planned goals and maintain a competent workforce.
- Uphold quality patient care by developing programs that comply with established policies and procedures, including HRSA requirements, TJC, and licensing standards.
- Cultivate cooperative relationships and positive interactions with governmental agencies and community organizations.
- Identify new practice opportunities and clinical activities that align with the mission and success of Coastal Health & Wellness.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction, access, and safety.

Executive Management Role:
- Serve as a member of the executive management team, contributing to cost reduction and improved access to care.
- Lead and support key committees focused on service areas, clinical practices, and business matters.
- Assist in developing new business and marketing strategies to expand the patient base and enhance overall performance.
- Ensure business practices align with the overarching goals of the Galveston County Health District.
