Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Vice President of Business Development is tasked with driving revenue growth for the organization. This role involves:

  • Leading and developing the US Business Development team.
  • Conducting thorough market analysis.
  • Formulating Key Account Business Development strategies to support the Department of Defense and other US Government agencies, ultimately securing contracts.

Core Functions:


• Develop and execute strategies to enhance business presence in the US Aerospace and Defense sectors, aligned with the Strategic Plan.

• Guide the business development teams to expand the opportunity pipeline, increase the number of quality bids annually, and grow the forward order book.

• Ensure consistent revenue growth in US sales through effective planning, deployment, and management of the business development team.

• Focus on US government agencies to maximize sales revenues.

• Oversee and coordinate sales campaigns, including the preparation and submission of bids, tenders, and contracts.

• Communicate bid strategies to the proposal team and senior management by continuously analyzing competition, identifying risks, and formulating plans to maintain a competitive edge.

• Coordinate the preparation of project bids and proposals for US government agencies and defense contractors, adhering to company procedures.

• Cultivate and maintain sales relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within US government agencies.

• Stay informed about target markets and competitor activities, sharing insights across the organization.

• Establish partnerships with major industry primes.

• Attend business meetings and industry trade shows.

• Collaborate closely with the US Senior Management Team to enhance market awareness of our technologies and services.

• Drive market-driven expansion of services.

• Produce annual revenue and gross margin budgets, targets, and plans for submission to the Executive Board.

• Develop and report on business performance indicators.


Qualifications:


• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Capture Management, Business Development, or Project Management within Aircraft Design, Integration, and Modification, with a proven track record of identifying and closing opportunities in the aerospace and military sectors.

• Previous experience in the modification and upgrading of fixed-wing or rotary aircraft for government agencies is highly desirable.

• Experience in developing business opportunities within the aerospace and military communities.

• Proficient in technology, particularly with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel and PowerPoint) and Salesforce CRM.

• Must possess the ability to obtain up to Top Secret level clearance.

Education:


• A minimum of a 4-year college degree in a technical or engineering discipline, or in marketing or business management. An advanced degree is preferred.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position requires minimal travel to operations in the US and Canada.
