Role Responsibilities
The Hazardous Materials Transport Specialist will be tasked with the safe transportation of various waste streams from generator sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating a range of vehicles, including straight trucks and tractor trailers, for the collection of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Maintaining accurate driver documentation, including logbooks and waste manifests.
- Ensuring the upkeep of company equipment and vehicles.
- Utilizing company technology effectively, including mobile applications and software.
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT/MOT regulations.
- Processing hazardous and non-hazardous materials as required.
- Assisting in maintaining cleanliness and organization at facilities and on-site.
- Participating in safety programs and required training.
- Possessing knowledge of electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, and compressor systems.
- Holding a Class A Commercial Driver's License with hazardous material and tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain these endorsements within 90 days of hire.
