Role Summary

This role entails managing the bulk transportation needs of our clients through efficient pickups and deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles safely while adhering to all health, safety, security, and environmental policies.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and trailers before, during, and after trips, documenting any issues.
  • Drive various types of trucks while complying with all local, state, and federal traffic laws.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs and maintenance records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Execute customer pickups with a focus on exceptional service.
  • Park and position trucks at the warehouse, secure vehicles, and assist with freight unloading.
  • Stay in contact with dispatch to receive precise instructions and report any safety concerns.
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured for transport following federal regulations.
  • Keep the work environment clean, including the truck's interior and exterior.
  • Address any discrepancies in paperwork and make necessary corrections.
  • Verify proper labeling when transporting hazardous materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a Class A CDL with all necessary endorsements, including HAZMAT.
  • Doubles certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • One to three years of proven safe driving experience preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

The physical demands and working conditions outlined here are representative of what must be met by an employee to successfully fulfill the essential functions of this role. The employee frequently works outdoors in various weather conditions, including snow, ice, and rain. Exposure to vehicle vibrations and high-density traffic is also common.
