SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $90,000 PER YEAR

SHIFT: Monday - Friday (Morning Shift)

ROLE OVERVIEW: The Sustainability and Safety Manager will be responsible for leading and executing all environmental, health, safety, and security initiatives within the organization, ensuring adherence to relevant laws, standards, and regulations. This role is crucial in fostering a proactive safety culture and environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver comprehensive training on all relevant safety topics to enhance employee awareness.
  • Develop and manage initiatives aimed at improving environmental health and safety (EHS) practices.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior management on EHS objectives and compliance matters.
  • Oversee investigations, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary liaison with external regulatory bodies and assist in negotiating penalties.
  • Possess a foundational understanding of environmental permits and hazardous waste management.
  • Compile and report EHS data as required by local, state, and federal agencies.
  • Identify and implement environmental improvement opportunities in the workplace.
  • Contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the EHS department.
  • Foster team collaboration by engaging employees and leadership in EHS processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an environmental role within a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Familiarity with government regulations such as OSHA and EPA.
  • Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements effectively.
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills and resourcefulness in achieving objectives.
  • Commitment to integrity in all EHS matters to ensure compliance and excellence.
  • Proficient in leading teams and facilitating productive meetings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
