Job Overview

Position: Production Line Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Efficiently operate designated line machinery while adhering to safety protocols and production standards for each product variant.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as established by the organization.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace by engaging in routine cleaning tasks, including managing catch pans and utilizing flour vacuums.
  • Input and manage data within the product tracking system accurately.
  • Engage in available training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Safely handle and dispose of cleaning agents and chemicals.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any operational issues.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions between shifts through effective communication.
  • Actively participate in training exercises, team meetings, and skill development sessions.
  • Document and respond to all Integrated Pest Management (IPM) data as per established standards.
  • Maintain all Key Operational Variables (KOVs) both internally and externally.
  • Assist in loading and unloading remix containers to ensure a consistent supply.
  • Contribute to team discussions and training activities.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills under pressure and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Following comprehensive training, the employee must competently operate assigned machinery. Cross-training in various functions is encouraged.
  • Ability to follow directives from the Team Leader and/or Shift Manager.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds independently on a frequent basis.
  • Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds independently on a regular basis.
  • This role requires the ability to stand, climb (stairs and ladders), reach, pull, push, stoop, bend, and lift as necessary on a daily basis.
  • Willingness to work assigned hours, including mandatory overtime.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with colleagues in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills to report difficulties or issues to team members and management.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding instructions, warnings, labels, and postings in English.
  • Compliance with GMP and Food Safety standards as per company policy is essential.
MANDATORY TRAINING

In addition to specific hands-on machine operation and area training, employees in this role will be required to successfully complete training programs including, but not limited to:
  • OSHA-required safety training
  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Training
  • GMP Awareness
  • Additional relevant training as determined by the organization
