Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to production team members during the assembly of manual wheelchairs.
  • Conduct standard work training to ensure all team members are adequately prepared to achieve production targets.
  • Oversee production processes to confirm they operate efficiently while identifying and addressing waste.
  • Detect process irregularities and defects from the production line and report them during daily Gemba meetings.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment for the production team, promoting the See Something Say Something initiative aimed at achieving zero lost time incidents.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate basic computer proficiency (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Respond promptly and effectively when production lines experience downtime.
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: 2+ years of prior experience in a production lead role or a minimum of 2 years as a production line operator at Permobil.
  • Must be adaptable to change and willing to acquire comprehensive knowledge of all workstations.
