Assembly Team Lead

The Assembly Team Lead will assist the department supervisor in managing workflow.

Our Operations department is currently in search of an Assembly Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to team members during the assembly of manual wheelchairs.
  • Conduct standard work training to ensure all team members are adequately prepared to achieve production targets.
  • Oversee production processes to confirm they operate efficiently while identifying and addressing waste.
  • Detect process irregularities and product rejects on the production line, reporting findings in daily Gemba sessions.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment for the production team, promoting a culture of safety with a goal of zero lost time incidents.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate basic computer proficiency (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Respond promptly and effectively to production line downtimes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a production lead role or a minimum of 2 years as a production line operator at Permobil.
  • Ability to adapt to change is essential for acquiring comprehensive knowledge of all workstations.
