Position Overview

As an Educational Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the learning experience for students. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the development of educational resources and provide support to students under the supervision of the classroom educator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the classroom educator to design curriculum and lesson plans;
  • Provide individualized tutoring or group instruction as directed by the classroom educator;
  • Oversee students during practice sessions, including activities such as math drills and spelling exercises;
  • Monitor student behavior during assemblies, events, or field trips;
  • Conduct auditory and visual supervision of students in various settings;
  • Assist students in reviewing assignments and understanding test outcomes;
  • Create instructional materials and visual aids, such as charts and posters;
  • Manage audiovisual equipment and prepare it for classroom use;
  • Order and maintain educational supplies and resources;
  • Participate in meetings focused on curriculum development or student issues;
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to facilitate and plan educational activities under the guidance of the classroom educator;
