Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Stanford University School of Medicine is a world-renowned institution for medical education, research, and patient care. The Educational Programs and Services (EPS) department is responsible for providing support to students, trainees, and medical practitioners.

Job Purpose:

The Stanford MD Admissions team is seeking a part-time temporary Technical Support Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work independently.

Core Duties:

  • Conduct office hours to assist interviewers with troubleshooting audio/video issues and navigating different applications.
  • Provide technical support on interview days, assisting with Zoom troubleshooting, audio/video issues, and internet connectivity.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to handle confidential information and assist with tasks related to interview preparations.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree plus two years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • General computer skills and experience troubleshooting common issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel to manage tasks related to interview scheduling and data organization.
  • Familiarity with Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms.

Pay Range:

The expected pay range for this position is $36.00 to $42.00 per hour.

The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
