Job Summary
We are looking for experienced behavior support providers to work with students across all grade levels, providing essential support and implementing behavior management strategies in a supportive district environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide behavior support to students, implementing behavior management and reduction techniques as directed by the educational team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans to address challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques to effectively manage crisis situations and ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure consistency and effectiveness in implementing behavior support plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavior interventions in compliance with district policies.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience providing behavior support to school-aged individuals preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management and reduction techniques, as well as de-escalation strategies.
- RBT certification preferred but not required; candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Commitment to following ethical guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.
Position Details
- Hours: 30-32.5 hours per week
- Duration: Remainder of the school year
- Grade Levels: Elementary to High School
- Supportive district environment, treating contractors as regular staff
- Location: Stanford, CA
- Pay: Negotiable up to $30
