Job Overview

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Behavior Support Specialist to provide essential support and implement behavior management strategies in a supportive district environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavior support to students across all grade levels, implementing behavior management and reduction techniques as directed by the educational team.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans to address challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
  • Utilize de-escalation techniques to effectively manage crisis situations and ensure the safety of students and staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and administrators to ensure consistency and effectiveness in implementing behavior support plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and behavior interventions in compliance with district policies.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience providing behavior support to school-aged individuals preferred.
  • Familiarity with behavior management and reduction techniques, as well as de-escalation strategies.
  • RBT certification preferred but not required; candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to following ethical guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.

Position Details:

  • Hours: 30-32.5 hours per week
  • Duration: Remainder of the school year
  • Grade Levels: Elementary to High School
  • Supportive district environment, treating contractors as regular staff
  • Location: Stanford, CA
  • Pay: Negotiable up to $30
