Job Title: Technical Support Specialist

Stanford University School of Medicine is a world-renowned institution for medical education, research, and patient care. The Educational Programs and Services (EPS) department is a key component of the School's mission, providing support to students, trainees, and medical practitioners.

Job Purpose

The Stanford MD Admissions team is seeking a part-time temporary Technical Support Specialist to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct office hours to assist interviewers with troubleshooting audio/video issues and navigating applications.
  • Provide technical support on interview days, ensuring all interviewers have full functionality on the virtual platform.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to handle confidential information and assist with tasks related to interview preparations.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree plus two years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • General computer skills and experience troubleshooting common issues.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel to manage tasks related to interview scheduling and data organization.
  • Familiarity with Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills and patient approach to assisting individuals with minimal technical skills.

Pay and Benefits

The expected pay range for this position is $36.00 to $42.00 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position.
