We are seeking a highly skilled Structures Analyst to join our team at Blue Origin, a leading innovator in space technology. As a key member of our Lunar Transportation business unit, you will play a critical role in the development of our Blue Moon lander product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Perform structural analysis and design of spacecraft components, including load path definition and strength analysis.
- Develop and refine finite element models to validate structural performance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments.
- Conduct strength checks and generate analysis reports to support design decisions.
- Support test and verification planning, and generate reports to document results.
- Participate in configuration development and trade studies to optimize spacecraft design.
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering.
- 12+ years of experience in structural static/dynamic fundamentals.
- Proven expertise in spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation.
- Ability to solve complex structural problems using physics-based analytical methods.
- Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle, or automotive design, including external loads, vibro-acoustic analysis, thermal loads, and analysis using Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, or Optistruct.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to earn trust and maintain positive relationships.
- Experience with vehicle load path definition and strength analysis.
- Analysis of metallic and/or composite structures, including skin-stringer, fittings, sandwich panels, etc.
- Composite design and analysis skills in thermoset, thermoplastic, metal matrix, and ceramic matrix composites.
- Manufacturing methods, material selection, testing, characterization, and allowables development.
- Experience testing materials, joints, components, and vehicles.
- Structural optimization using standard industry codes.
- Experience with ProEngineer Wildfire 4/Creo Parametric or greater.
- Experience with human spaceflight and composites.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
