Position Summary:
The Logistics Transportation Analyst III plays a crucial role in managing transportation and operational processes to meet customer needs. This position requires collaboration with various departments, including procurement, sales, and production control, to ensure efficient shipment planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with external carriers to ensure compliance with aerospace transportation standards.
- Process Truck Requests to guarantee that transportation requirements are fulfilled for aerospace hardware deliveries.
- Review and approve freight bills on a daily basis.
- Generate monthly reports to identify process improvements and conduct budget analysis.
- Conduct research and develop cost estimates to enhance transportation options within existing contracts.
- Analyze and present recommendations for cost management to adhere to budget constraints.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support production requirements.
- Oversee loading and unloading operations of trucks.
- Collaborate with inventory teams and production schedulers to ensure timely shipment of parts.
- Assist manufacturing and engineering teams with urgent logistical needs.
- Provide backup support for all logistics shipping functions.
- Identify and propose improvements within the Supply Chain Organization.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, and aerospace hardware shipment.
- Experience with transportation contracts and load dispatching for at least 2 years.
- Certification in 49 CFR Hazardous Material for all transportation modes.
- Familiarity with shipping department operations, including handling delicate aerospace components and hazardous materials.
- Proficient in calculating shipment weights and dimensions.
- Strong analytical skills to identify problems, gather relevant data, and draw logical conclusions.
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and perform elevated work tasks.
- Commitment to quality, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
- Capacity to build trust and maintain professional relationships in a diverse work environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, medical, or military sectors.
- Familiarity with international shipping processes.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management.
The compensation range for this position is competitive and varies based on experience and qualifications.
