Job Description:

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a Senior Patient Experience Representative to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring that every interaction with our patients and families is positive and memorable.

About the Role:

This role requires a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, collaborating with referring providers and practices, and obtaining required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules. You will be responsible for scheduling patients, supporting the patient encounter, and answering and screening call center phone lines.

Check In / Check Out:

You will greet and direct patients, families, and visitors, monitor daily schedules, and coordinate flow with clinicians/supervisors. Additionally, you will reconcile payments, prepare deposits, and provide records of transactions in hospital systems.

Administrative:

You will record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, initiate calls for emergency services, and provide routine clerical support as needed.

Requirements:

  • A high school level of education required
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant healthcare experience required
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
  • The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience and location.
