About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Transportation Highway/Roadway Engineer to join our team in Ontario, CA. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for managing and administering projects from budgeting and scheduling to procurement and contract closeout.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and ensure all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Provide management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforce company and project policies, and serve as a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
  • Administer the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout, with significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other Engineering discipline + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineer license and ability to obtain California PE within twelve months if not currently registered in California.
  • Ability to proactively communicate and lead department staff.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience reflecting a progressively increasing level of leadership and responsibility.
  • Experience with business development and client relations.
  • Project management experience leading small to medium-sized highway projects, well-versed in all aspects of project development.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
