Job Title: Quantity Determination Inspector

Job Overview:

The Quantity Determination Inspector is tasked with executing precise inspections of shore tanks, railcars, and tank trucks for the assessment of various commodities, particularly in the petroleum and petrochemical sectors. This role includes the collection of samples for subsequent laboratory analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical sampling, measurement, and temperature assessment of shore tanks utilizing diverse methodologies.
  • Calculate and document quantities transferred, ensuring thorough reconciliation.
  • Complete all necessary reports and documentation with accuracy.
  • Collaborate effectively with client representatives, regulatory agents, and shore facility personnel.
  • Maintain consistent communication with office personnel regarding job progress.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and client-specific procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and support in the training of Inspector Trainees.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all operations.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Petroleum Inspection within the Oil, Gas, and Chemical sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills with a focus on fractions.
  • Capability to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions and confined spaces.
  • Physical ability to climb storage tank ladders and stairs, lift up to 75 pounds, and accurately distinguish colors.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possession of reliable, insured transportation and all necessary licenses.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and work independently.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to synthesize information into actionable solutions.
